They aren't anonymous. Every traveller completes mobile, email and government-ID verification with a selfie match before they can accept a single parcel, and you can see their trust score, rating and completed-delivery count before you choose them.
On top of that: the parcel can only be collected with your OTP, only closed with the receiver's OTP, photo proof is captured at both ends, and the payment sits in escrow until delivery is confirmed.
Raise a dispute in-app and the escrowed payment is frozen immediately. Our team reviews the pickup and delivery photos, OTP timestamps and trip log, and resolves within a defined window. The outcome is applied to the money still sitting in escrow — a full refund, a partial split, or release to the traveller.
Parcel protection is not live yet. Cover beyond the escrowed amount is in development and we'll say so clearly on this site the day it switches on. Until then, please don't send anything you couldn't stand to lose.
Anything illegal or dangerous: weapons, ammunition, explosives, narcotics, hazardous chemicals, counterfeit goods, live animals, and unaccompanied prescription medicines. Cash, gold bullion and alcohol are also off the platform.
The full prohibited items policy is shown before every booking and you confirm compliance each time. Misdeclaration means a permanent ban and, where the law requires it, cooperation with the authorities.
Never before delivery. The sender pays CarryBuddies at booking and we hold the funds in escrow. Once the receiver's OTP is entered and delivery proof is captured, the traveller's share is released — typically settled to their bank account within 24 hours.
No. We're a technology intermediary that connects senders with independent travellers. Travellers are not our employees or agents, and the contract for carriage is between the sender and the traveller. Our role is verification, matching, escrow, tracking and dispute resolution.
ID documents are encrypted at rest, stored in restricted-access systems and never displayed to other users — the other party sees only your name, photo, rating and verification badge. We collect what verification and safety require, retain it only as long as needed, and set out exactly what we hold in our Privacy Policy.
